I’m glad to have been a part of this one.  People have taken notice of a wonderful story, so it was worth every bit of the effort and tedium.

Nine hitRECorders collaborated (with no premeditation) to make this one, the most minimal of the contributors being myself.

deeasherself wrote and RECorded herself reading a story.  That’s the core of this one.  Her words and voice are effortless and heartbreaking and hopeful.

I probably would have missed it though, had it not been for RichieMillenium who was struck by the story and reRECorded it into a video.  He Resourced five other videos that he found from five different hitRECorders.

All I did was see that video, remember a piano piece I’d heard earlier in the night from another new hitRECorder, nancy8385, and mix them together.

Including posting it here to Tumblr, the whole thing probably took me a half hour.  (The next version of the hitRECord.org website will feature embed codes so it’ll be easier to post RECords elsewhere.)

If you feel like adding more to it, please do, that’s what we’re about on hitRECord.  I was thinking some soft SFX might be good.  I also like how RichieMillenium’s visual choices are gentle and don’t grab too much attention away from the reading, however, if you wanted to try adding some more images or videos, paintings or animations, anything, we’d all love to see…
