…was mind-blowing, gut-wrenching, face-melting, and heartbreaking. It’s a stunning achievement, comparable to 2001: A Space Odyssey in my opinion. Five months ago, when Gaspar Noé was here at the Belcourt with Harmony Korine for the Trash Humpers premiere, I thought he looked like Craig Brewer in a wacky disguise. Little did I know that I’d soon be sitting in that same hall watching Noé’s horrific and beautiful magnum opus.
0antha0: I definitely agree, it is a masterpiece. But I don’t know if I could stand to see it again. Did you become immersed in the experience, or did you observe it from a distance? At times, to be immersed was unbearable.
