On Friday night, November 4 2011, Nashville’s Belcourt Theatre will host SKYROC: A Benefit for the Oasis Center Bike Workshop, a concert in memory of Schuyler Vassen. Our friend Schuyler died September 14 from the head injuries he sustained from a freak bicycle accident. His life very likely could have been saved if he’d been wearing a helmet. The proceeds from this benefit will go to the Oasis Center’s Bike Workshop, a free, six-week program open to Nashville’s underprivileged youth. This all-ages concert will feature Colorfeels, The Grayces, Buffalo Clover, and Jessica Breanne & The Electric Hearts. Colorfeels has a great new album, and Jessica Breanne’s recent new release is one of the best albums of this year. This is gonna be one helluva show!

Poster: 8 1/2 (dir. Federico Fellini) 1963 Designed by: Napkin Art Studios you rarely see an 8 1/2 poster that uses color to its advantage, but this is gorgeous. almost gives off a roger corman vibe, or maybe that’s just me… napkinartstudios: A recent “8 1/2” silk screen poster commissioned by The Texas Theatre for their “Italian Summer” 35MM print series. Two color silk screen on bright white Finch 100lb cover. 20.5” x 14” (2011). Check out more work at Napkin Art Studios.
