Pierre Etaix recorded a special introduction for the Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, who begin their Etaix retro today.

The only thing more exciting than seeing movies like Yoyo for the first time is the thought that Etaix would take the time to record a special greeting for us, just before we started falling in love with his movies.

Just started going through some videos from the REC Room @ Sundance this weekend, check out this one of a festival goer named Aaron (I think?) that stopped by to join HitRECord and record some piano for humunkulus’s “Family Band” song.

It’s been 3 ½ years since I wrote that first Family Band RECord, and the stream of overwhelming responses that has flowed ever since then is something I’ll never get over.  The fact that there’s a really catchy song from the Family Band collaboration now stuck in my head, and there are people at the Sundance 2013 REC Room RECording stuff for that really catchy Family Band song… well these are just the latest amazing additions to the collaboration.  IF YOU ONLY KNEW the dorky origin story of that first Family Band RECord… good grief… you’d all pants me for sure.  

This next statement will only make sense to a curious some: I’ve secretly kept a copy of the old V3 Family Band conversation pages that by all accounts transformed the Family Band text RECord into a real HitRECord Family Band thingy.  I still have them!  Now might finally  be the time for me to dig those out again and share them with you all again.  Until then, check out what’s going on in the Family Band Collaboration.
